8-K filings classified by item, with item text on request.

`from`	integer	Offset for paging. Default `0`.	`20`
`size`	integer	Rows per page, at most 100. Default `50`.	`2`
`text`	string	true adds the plain text of the requested item to each filing. Needs item. Default `false`.	`true`

Covers 8-K and 8-K/A filings, newest first.
Item classification covers filings from mid 2024 onward while the historical backfill runs back to 2004.
text=true only works together with item, and extracts that item from each filing; it adds about a second per filing, so keep size small.
Max 100 rows per page. total is exact.
Eleven common items also have their own feed paths that include text by default; see the list below.

Filter by cik and a startDate.

How do I get the text of an item?

Pass item and text=true. Each row gets a text field with the item's plain text.

How do I watch for executive departures?

Filter on item 5.02, or use the /v1/form-8k/executive-changes feed which includes text.

What does the period field mean?

It is the date of the earliest event reported, which can be days before the filing date.

Errors

textError on a row means the item heading was not found in that filing; the row is still returned.
No error for an unknown item number; the result is empty.
