Version 2 · Effective October 12, 2026
This disclosure explains where artificial intelligence ("AI") is and is not involved in SecFeed, and the limits of responsibility that apply. It is part of our Terms of Service.
Every value the Service returns, including filing metadata, insider transactions, 13F holdings, beneficial ownership, XBRL financial statements, filing sections, 8-K items, offering terms, compensation tables and enforcement records, is obtained from the original public filing or official SEC source by deterministic software: fixed rules, parsers and data mappings written and reviewed by people. No AI model or large language model creates, predicts, summarizes, rewrites or alters the data we serve. Responses include identifiers and links that let you verify each record against the source document on SEC.gov.
Some datasets are read from tables and text whose layout differs between filers, including executive compensation, directors, audit fees, subsidiaries, meeting dates, related party sections and IPO terms. Our parsers are tested on large companies but can miss, misread or mis-assign fields for unusual layouts, older filings or amended documents. Filings themselves may contain errors. Automated processing is not infallible, and you should check figures that matter against the original filing before relying on them.
We do not use your account information, queries, API usage or Customer Content to train AI models, and we do not sell or license them to anyone for AI training.
Parts of this website, our documentation, examples and our software were drafted with the help of AI tools and reviewed and edited by a person before publication. Documentation can contain mistakes; the API's actual behavior controls.
SecFeed does not use AI or automated processing to make decisions about you that produce legal or similarly significant effects. Account actions such as rate limiting or abuse blocking use fixed rules, and you can contact us to have any such action reviewed by a person.
Nothing on SecFeed, whether data, documentation, examples or output produced by any AI assistant using SecFeed, is investment, financial, legal, tax or accounting advice, or a recommendation to buy or sell any security. See Section 9 of our Terms of Service.
If we begin using AI to generate or transform any part of SecFeed Data, we will update this disclosure before that feature launches and label the affected fields. Questions: support@secfeedapi.com
