Form 6-K is how a foreign private issuer furnishes to the SEC the information it makes public in its home country, files with a foreign stock exchange or sends to its shareholders. There is no fixed list of items: a 6-K can carry quarterly results, an investor presentation, a notice of a shareholder meeting or a press release about a deal.
Because foreign private issuers do not file 10-Qs or 8-Ks, the 6-K stream is the only US source of their interim financials and current events. The cover page is short; the content is in the exhibits, which SecFeed lists and serves as text or PDF.
