CAGE Code Lookup
Look up any company registered to do business with the US government by name, CAGE code or UEI, and see its registration status, expiration date and primary NAICS code from SAM.gov.
What is a CAGE code?
A CAGE (Commercial and Government Entity) code is a five character identifier the Defense Logistics Agency assigns to companies that do business with the federal government. Contracting officers, prime contractors and suppliers use it on contracts, invoices and parts records. A company gets one when it registers in SAM.gov, and each separate location can have its own.
CAGE code vs UEI
The UEI (Unique Entity ID) is a twelve character identifier SAM.gov assigns to every registered entity. It replaced the DUNS number in April 2022 and is now the main identifier on federal awards. The CAGE code still matters for defense contracting and logistics. Most active registrations have both.
Where this data comes from
SAM.gov publishes a public extract of entity registrations every month. This tool searches SecFeed's copy of the latest one: legal business name, DBA, UEI, CAGE code, registration status and dates, location and NAICS codes. It shows city and state only. Registrations marked expired have lapsed and must be renewed before the company can receive new awards.
