Filing Download API: every EDGAR document and exhibit as filed
List every file in an SEC filing and download any document, exhibit, XBRL file or image from the EDGAR archive with one authenticated call.
curl -H "Authorization: Bearer $SECFEED_KEY" \ "https://secfeedapi.com/v1/files?cik=320193&accessionNo=0000320193-26-000020"
import os, requests
r = requests.get(
"https://secfeedapi.com/v1/files",
params={'cik': '320193', 'accessionNo': '0000320193-26-000020'},
headers={"Authorization": f"Bearer {os.environ['SECFEED_KEY']}"},
)
print(r.json())Overview
Every EDGAR filing is a folder of files: the main document, exhibits, XBRL instance and linkbases, images and the full text submission. The Download API lists them for any accession number and returns any one of them exactly as filed.
SecFeed handles the SEC's fair access rules for you (User-Agent, rate limits, retries), so your code never gets blocked for hammering sec.gov. Inline XBRL viewer links (/ix?doc=) are resolved to the underlying document automatically.
What you get
Built for developers who would rather not parse EDGAR.
Name, type, size and URL of every file in a filing, from the EDGAR directory index.
HTML, TXT, XML, XBRL, JPG, PDF: returned byte for byte as filed with the right content type.
Requests go through SecFeed's throttled, identified client and cache.
Viewer URLs like sec.gov/ix?doc=... are converted to the archive document.
Endpoints
