Dilution is spread across a company's XBRL: authorized and issued shares on the balance sheet, weighted basic and diluted shares on the income statement, share based compensation and repurchases on the cash flow statement. The Equity Dilution API collects all of them for a company, period by period.
It also computes dilutionPct, the gap between diluted and basic weighted shares, so you can compare companies on one number.
