print(r.json())What is 8-K?
Form 8-K is how a US public company tells the market that something material happened between its periodic reports. Each 8-K reports one or more numbered items, such as entry into a material agreement (1.01), results of operations (2.02), departure of a director or officer (5.02) or a material cybersecurity incident (1.05).
With more than two million filings, 8-Ks are the largest structured event feed on EDGAR. SecFeed classifies each filing by the items it reports, so you can subscribe to a single event type across every company instead of reading every filing.
Domestic companies that file Exchange Act reports. Foreign private issuers use Form 6-K and Reg A issuers use Form 1-U.
Within four business days of the triggering event for most items. Items 7.01 and 8.01 are voluntary, and 2.02 is due when results are announced.

FAQ
How long does a company have to file an 8-K?
Four business days after the event for most items. Earnings under Item 2.02 are furnished when the results are publicly announced.
What is the difference between filed and furnished 8-K items?
Items 2.02 and 7.01 are furnished, so they are not subject to Section 18 liability and are not incorporated into other filings by default.
Can I get only one 8-K item type?
Yes. The 8-K events API filters by item, for example item=5.02 for director and officer changes.
