Overview

Every proxy statement shows what the company paid its outside directors last year. Operating companies print a director compensation table with cash fees, stock awards and totals. Funds print a trustee table with pay from the fund and from the whole fund complex. Around the table sits the program itself: retainers, committee fees, the annual equity grant and the rules.

The Director Compensation API returns one record per proxy with the table row by row, the retainer schedule, stock ownership guidelines, the director pay limit and deferral options. Filter by ticker or CIK, by filing date, or on any field with data.<path>.

FAQ

How far back does it go?

These datasets launched in October 2026 and are being filled newest first, starting with filings from 2020 onward. The live counter on this page shows what is loaded today. Older years are added after that.

How is the data produced?

Each record is extracted from the filing text by an AI model and validated against a fixed schema before it is published; see our AI Disclosure. A value the filing does not state is returned as null, never guessed.

Does it cover employee directors?

Only as the filing reports them. compensationTable.employeeDirectorsUnpaid is true when the proxy says employee directors get nothing for board service.
