Profile of any SEC filer by CIK or ticker: SIC industry, state of incorporation, fiscal year end, addresses, EIN, former names and tickers.
curl -H "Authorization: Bearer $SECFEED_KEY" \ "https://secfeedapi.com/v1/entities?cik=NVDA"
import os, requests
r = requests.get(
"https://secfeedapi.com/v1/entities",
params={'cik': 'NVDA'},
headers={"Authorization": f"Bearer {os.environ['SECFEED_KEY']}"},
)
print(r.json())Overview
Every filer on EDGAR, from mega caps to private funds and individual insiders, has a CIK and a profile. The Entities API returns that profile in one call: industry (SIC code and description), filer category, state of incorporation, fiscal year end, business and mailing addresses, phone, EIN, tickers, exchanges and every former name with dates.
Use it to enrich filings with industry and location, to resolve renamed companies, or to group filers by state or SIC. Pass a CIK or a ticker.
What you get
Built for developers who would rather not parse EDGAR.
Operating companies, funds, trusts and individuals: anyone with a CIK.
SIC code, SIC description and the filer category (large accelerated filer and so on).
Every previous name with the dates it was used.
Pass either; tickers are resolved through the SEC's ticker file.
