Filings EDGAR published on a day, counted by form type.

Parameter	Type	Description	Example
`date`required	string	The filing day, YYYY-MM-DD.	`2026-10-09`

Weekends and SEC holidays return total 0 and an empty byForm.
Covers every day since 1993.
The current day fills in as the index is refreshed (every 30 minutes on weekdays).

How do I count Form 4 filings on a day?

Read byForm["4"] from the day's log.

How do I check that a day is a filing day?

total is 0 on weekends and SEC holidays, so a positive total means EDGAR published filings that day.

How do I get historical volumes?

Call the endpoint for each day you need; history starts in 1993.

How do I list the forms filed on a day?

The keys of byForm are every form type that appeared, most common first.

How do I then fetch the filings themselves?

Use the filing search API with formType and filedAt for that day.

How do I compare two days?

Call the log for both dates and diff the byForm maps.

What happens if I leave out date?

The API returns 400; date is required.

It grows during the day as the index refresh runs every 30 minutes on weekdays.
