Form U-7D was filed under the Public Utility Holding Company Act of 1935 to summarize a lease of utility assets, typically a sale and leaseback of a generating plant, and the transactions financing it. Filing it allowed certain lessors to avoid being treated as utility companies.
With PUHCA 1935 repealed in 2006, U-7D filings stop in January 2006.
