print(r.json())What is S-8 POS?
Form S-8 registers shares issued under employee stock plans. Changes to those registrations are made by post-effective amendment, which EDGAR tags S-8 POS. The most common reason is deregistration: when a company is acquired, it files S-8 POS amendments to remove the unsold shares from every outstanding S-8.
Because of that, a burst of S-8 POS filings from one company is a reliable marker that a merger has closed. Other S-8 POS filings add a successor plan or update the reoffer prospectus.
