What is REVOKED?

Under Exchange Act Section 12(j), the SEC can suspend or revoke the registration of a class of securities when the issuer has not complied with the Act, most often because it stopped filing 10-Ks and 10-Qs. Revocation means broker-dealers can no longer effect transactions in the securities until they are registered again.

The SEC posts these orders to the company's EDGAR file with the REVOKED type, which makes them a clean list of delinquent filers removed from the system.

Who files

Filed by the SEC on the issuer's record.

When it is filed

When the SEC issues the revocation order, usually after an administrative proceeding for delinquent filings.
