Submission type N-2MEF is a new registration statement on Form N-2 filed under Securities Act Rule 462(b). It lets a closed-end investment company or business development company register up to an additional 20% of securities for an offering already registered on Form N-2, and it becomes effective on filing.
Funds use it at pricing when demand exceeds the registered amount, for example to cover an upsized offering or an underwriters' over-allotment option.
