Form F-X appoints an agent in the United States for service of process. It is required of foreign issuers that register securities on Forms F-8, F-9, F-10 or F-80, register or report on Form 40-F, file certain tender offer documents, and of trustees for those securities.
Most filers are Canadian companies using the Multijurisdictional Disclosure System, so F-X filings follow MJDS registrations and Canadian cross-border deals closely.
