What is F-6EF?

Form F-6 registers American Depositary Receipts. When the conditions of Rule 466 are met, the registration becomes effective immediately and EDGAR tags it F-6EF. It is the most common way ADR programs are registered, with more than 13,000 filings since 2002.

Many F-6EF filings are for unsponsored ADR programs set up by depositary banks without the foreign issuer's involvement.
