Company Subsidiaries Lookup
Look up the subsidiaries any US public company reports to the SEC, with each subsidiary's state or country of incorporation, straight from Exhibit 21 of its latest 10-K.
Where does the list of subsidiaries come from?
US public companies attach a list of their subsidiaries to their annual report on Form 10-K as Exhibit 21. This tool finds the company's latest 10-K on SEC EDGAR, reads that exhibit and shows each subsidiary with its jurisdiction, with a link to the original document.
Why some subsidiaries are missing
The SEC lets companies leave out subsidiaries that, taken together, would not be a significant subsidiary. So Exhibit 21 often lists the important legal entities rather than every one. Foreign private issuers, funds and smaller filers may not file an Exhibit 21 at all.
What people use it for
Due diligence and KYC checks, mapping a corporate group before a deal, finding which entity holds a brand or a license, and spotting operations in specific countries or tax jurisdictions.
